Crop before uploading

The AI usually needs recent messages and a clear view of who wrote each one. It rarely needs a full name, face, phone number, location, notifications, or unrelated chats.

  • Keep only the messages needed for tone.
  • Hide names, avatars, phone numbers, email, and locations.
  • Do not upload intimate, medical, financial, or minor-related content.

Separate processing, history, and training

These are different questions. An app may process a screenshot, store a result in account history, and use outside AI processors. Look for an explicit answer at each stage.

  • Is a file created or held only in memory?
  • Does history expire or remain until account deletion?
  • Which AI provider receives content and under what terms?

Check deletion and control

A useful policy explains how to delete history or an account and what happens next. If you cannot find the mechanism, ask before uploading sensitive material. Keep sending manual and review every suggestion.
