Privacy and ethics when analyzing your partner's chat

Ethical and privacy limits when using AI on a couple's chat: consent, data minimization, what not to do with a report.

Ethics · privacy

Being able to export a chat does not mean every use is a good idea. Ethics starts before you tap "analyze".

Aligns with the safety stance of analyze modes: no infidelity verdicts, mandatory quotes, and valid empty lists.

Before exporting

Ask why you want the report. Prepare a talk? Calm down? Accuse? Only the first two usually help.

  • Chat evidence
  • Literal quotes
  • Human review

During

Do not forward the export. Delete duplicates. Avoid mixing third-party or minor chats.

After

If you will talk, discuss behaviors ("when X happened…") not absolute labels ("you are a…").

Do this

  • Use chat quotes
  • Review the report
  • Respect privacy

Avoid this

  • Claim infidelity
  • Humiliate with the report
  • Ignore green flags

Export WhatsApp, review every quote, and decide for yourself. RIZR does not issue infidelity verdicts.

Quick questions

Is it illegal to analyze my own chat?
We are not lawyers; generally you analyze a history you participate in. Using it to harass or spread may be another matter.
Does RIZR claim cheating?
